Head of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation Besik Meurmishvili met with the CEP Expert Group on Technology. Head of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation of the Ministry of Justice, Besik Meurmishvili introduced the main directions and achievements of the agency's activities to CEP Expert Group on Technology from the Confederation of European Probation. During the meeting, Meurmishvili presented the agency’s key initiatives and achievements. The discussion focused on integrating modern technologies, including artificial intelligence in probation services. The experts also explored the features and functions of the innovative probationer monitoring device, “PROBBOX.” Parties emphasized the importance of future collaboration in leveraging technology for improved probation management. The National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation became a member of the CEP Expert Group on Technology in 2023.

Mikheil Zazashvili has been appointed as the First Deputy Head of the Agency. A lawyer by profession, he is a graduate of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and has extensive experience in public service. Aleksi Mazmishvili has been appointed as Deputy Head of the Agency. Also a graduate of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, he brings many years of experience in public service.
