probation officer in the process of enforcing probationary legal act:

  • Controls the fulfillment of the duties assigned to the convict by the court;
  • Determines the time and place set for the appearance of the convict, which must be fulfilled.
  • Controls the behavior of the convict and provides assistance to him/her;
  • Conducts educational activities with the convict;
  • Assists the convict in finding employment as much as possible;
  • Implements other activities that will promote resocialization of the convict, for which, if necessary, establishes business relations with local self-government bodies, other state and non-state bodies;
  • Executes the relevant legal act in accordance with the risk assessment of the convict and the individual plan for the execution of the sentence imposed on the convict. During the execution process, probation officer cooperates with a social worker and a psychologist.
  • During the supervision of the behavior of the convict while performing the duties assigned to him by the court, the probation officer has the right to:
  • At established intervals specified by this Law, summon the convict for registration;
  • Request a convict's explanation;
  • Receive information about the convict's behavior from his relatives, acquaintances, workplace and educational institution;
  • Request information about the convict from relevant state and medical institutions.
