During the event, the artist engaged with the participants, discussing the significance of visual arts and sharing insights into her creative process, including palette selection and painting techniques. Such activities aim to identify new areas of interest for the agency's beneficiaries and help them make professional choices in the future, which is a key priority of the agency.
A conference on juvenile diversion and restorative justice was held in Istanbul.
Organized by UNICEF and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, the event highlighted the Georgian model of diversion as one of the leading examples in the region. Iason Nachkebia, Head of the Analytical Department of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation, presented Georgia’s experience in implementing diversion mechanisms. Participants discussed the development of diversion and restorative justice programs, emphasizing the need for a strong legislative framework, individualized assessments, rehabilitation services, mediation institutions, and effective inter-agency coordination.

The experts also explored the features and functions of the innovative probationer monitoring device, “PROBBOX.” Parties emphasized the importance of future collaboration in leveraging technology for improved probation management. The National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation became a member of the CEP Expert Group on Technology in 2023.

Mikheil Zazashvili has been appointed as the First Deputy Head of the Agency. A lawyer by profession, he is a graduate of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and has extensive experience in public service. Aleksi Mazmishvili has been appointed as Deputy Head of the Agency. Also a graduate of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, he brings many years of experience in public service.
