The Diversion and Mediation Department of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-Custodial Sentences and Probation conducted a series of informational meetings with university students.
During the sessions, department representatives introduced students to the key principles of juvenile justice, explained the objectives and procedures of the diversion and mediation program, and highlighted the significance of mediation as an effective tool for resolving conflicts and promoting restorative justice.
These meetings are organized at universities across Georgia and are designed to increase awareness of the diversion and mediation program, while fostering greater understanding of legal and social responsibility among young people.
The events were also attended by mediators, who shared their professional experience with students based on practical examples and answered their questions
