In celebration of this day, the Agency continues its series of educational and recreational activities for its young beneficiaries. An entertainment event was organized for the minors under the care of the Agency’s Juvenile Referral Center in Tbilisi, held at Zgvisubani Park. The event featured engaging activities led by professional animators, ensuring a joyful and lively atmosphere for the participants. At the conclusion of the event, the children received symbolic gifts. These initiatives are an integral part of the Agency’s efforts to support the rehabilitation, resocialization, and social integration of minors.

They also visited the museum, artifacts, and the tomb of Saint Matthias on the premises. At the end of the event, the participants were presented with symbolic gifts. A conference on juvenile diversion and restorative justice was held in Istanbul.
Organized by UNICEF and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, the event highlighted the Georgian model of diversion as one of the leading examples in the region. Iason Nachkebia, Head of the Analytical Department of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation, presented Georgia’s experience in implementing diversion mechanisms. Participants discussed the development of diversion and restorative justice programs, emphasizing the need for a strong legislative framework, individualized assessments, rehabilitation services, mediation institutions, and effective inter-agency coordination.

Head of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation of the Ministry of Justice, Besik Meurmishvili introduced the main directions and achievements of the agency's activities to CEP Expert Group on Technology from the Confederation of European Probation. During the meeting, Meurmishvili presented the agency’s key initiatives and achievements. The discussion focused on integrating modern technologies, including artificial intelligence in probation services. The experts also explored the features and functions of the innovative probationer monitoring device, “PROBBOX.” Parties emphasized the importance of future collaboration in leveraging technology for improved probation management. The National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation became a member of the CEP Expert Group on Technology in 2023.

Within the framework of the cultural-cognitive project, they explored artifacts and ethnographic exhibits uncovered through archaeological excavations, studied historical documents detailing the city's past, and engaged in hands-on simulated excavations. This educational program aims to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of convicts. The National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation will offer similar activities to beneficiaries in the future.

First Deputy Minister of Justice, Levan Kharanauli, introduced the newly appointed Deputy Heads of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-Custodial Sentences and Probation. Mikheil Zazashvili has been appointed as the First Deputy Head of the Agency. A lawyer by profession, he is a graduate of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and has extensive experience in public service. Aleksi Mazmishvili has been appointed as Deputy Head of the Agency. Also a graduate of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, he brings many years of experience in public service.
