The National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-Custodial Sentences, and Probation welcomed a delegation from the Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan, presenting them with the latest innovations and achievements implemented by the Agency. During the visit, the delegation was introduced to key advancements, including the electronic monitoring, diversion programs, and initiatives in the resocialization and rehabilitation of convicted individuals and former prisoners. Additionally, they received insights into the referral process of juveniles and the use of the innovative “PROBBOX” device for probationers. The Kazakh delegation was hosted by the head of the Agency, Besik Meurmishvili, along with senior officials from structural units.

Besik Meurmishvili, Head of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-Custodial Sentences and Probation, held his first working meeting with employees. The introductory meeting was attended by the deputy heads of the agency and heads of departments. The meeting focused on the future plans of the agency's activities. Besik Meurmishvili introduced the vision of the agency's development to the employees and presented them with upcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing working conditions and increasing the efficiency of work. The heads of departments provided the new head with information about the agency's current activities, as well as the existing challenges and plans.

Besik Meurmishvili has been appointed as the Head of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-Custodial Sentences and Probation of the Ministry of Justice. Besik Meurmishvili has many years of experience in public service and academic sector. He is engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He is also an associate professor at the East European University.
