Head of the Analytical Department of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Non-custodial Sentences and Probation, Iason Nachkebia, participated in a panel discussion organized by the Ministry of Justice of Turkey and the UNICEF Turkey Office in Ankara.

During the session, participants reviewed key trends and challenges related to analytical and research activities in the justice sector. Particular emphasis was placed on evaluating the effectiveness of restorative justice programs and studying recidivism among juveniles.

Within the framework of the visit, Iason Nachkebia also met with Hüseyin Şik, General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses Ministry of Justice. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Turkey in the probation field.
