Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Prosecutor General Discuss Development of Diversion and Mediation.
Deputy Minister of Justice Giorgi Dgebuadze held a working meeting with Deputy Prosecutor General of Georgia Amiran Guluashvili to discuss key priorities and further development of diversion and mediation programs.
During the meeting, the parties focused on the development of a policy document in the field of diversion and mediation, strengthening human resources and rehabilitation capacities, and enhancing data exchange and processing systems.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of stronger inter-agency and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure the effective implementation of diversion and mediation programs. The parties emphasized the need for joint professional trainings and awareness-raising activities to support further development in this area. The meeting was also attended by Nika Tskhvarashvili, Head of the LEPL National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-Custodial Sentences and Probation, and Miranda Melkadze, Head of the Department of Supervision of Prosecutorial Activities and Strategic Development at the Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia.
